X-Cart v4.3.1 released
We are glad to announce that the new X-Cart v4.3.1 is now available for downloading in the "File area" section in your HelpDesk account at https://secure.qtmsoft.com.
v4.3.1 is a minor bug-fix release which also features improved stability. For the detailed changes description see the CHANGELOG file, which can be downloaded from the "File Area" section of your Support HelpDesk account at https://secure.qtmsoft.com. For the installation instructions see the the README file, which is included into X-Cart v4.3.1 installation package. NOTE: Upgrade kit for upgrading X-Cart v4.3.0 to v4.3.1 will be released and announced in a few days. |

4.3.1 upgrade pack is out, but appears to be broken... Its looking for the x-payment mod files and a .lst file and some other files... These files dont appear to be in the full download packet either. Anyone else tried this upgrade?

I tried a patch earlier today and when it completed it came up with a internal server 500 error and nothing would load on the admin or customer side. Ther were four files it would not patch which I wrote down and planned on patching manually, but I never got that far. Has anyone else had a problem with the newest 4.3.1 patch?

Everything checked out for the upgrade except this error. The product_details.tpl.diff file is missing from the upgrade - It does not allow you to just go ahead without this either.

All these people having problems with the patch. I kind of resent being asked to open a ticket and risk paying for an upgrade that should work with no problems. I am generally pretty patient and will sing praises when things click but really have no tolerence for shoddy work.
I have said several times that we should all be patient and things will work their way out with all of these versions but I am starting to think that QT has bitten off more than they can handle at this particular time. I have been around since the version 3 line and have never had problems applying a patch which makes me suspicious. Sorry for the rant. |

If its a bug, they wont charge you for it, or they shouldn't.
I'm only applying this to a test store, so it isnt mission critical- I would normally post it to the bug tracker, but I see seyfin has been checking on this thread and answering, I figured he could read it here later. I was able to find a work around, but the issue still needs to be addressed for people trying to upgrade without having to go thru extra steps because a file is missing. I'm actually waiting for version 4.4 to come out that has the user email logins per the thread on the announcement. I keep applying the upgrade patches to the test store so that it isnt such a big upgrade when the time comes for the .4.4 release. Seyfin- since that thread is closed, whats the status of the 4.4. version? Dont mean to hijack this thread, only asking is all. Thanks |

Anyway, to find out the root of the problem, we need to investigate the issue directly in your X-Cart installation on your server. That is why I asked you to create a new support ticket and report the problem there. Before our support engineer proceed with the investigation, please restore the original version of your X-Cart store (4.3.0) from backups. Please let me assure we never charge our clients for bugs in our software. If the issue turns out to be a bug in the upgrade pack, no points will be taken for the support ticket. Best regards. |

Please pardon my lack of understanding the upgrade/patch for this thread.
I'm currently using 4.3.0 So is there an actual patch/upgrade that works with out the 'workarounds'? Or would it be better to wait for 4.4? Scott |

Are there any known bugs with 4.3.1 for Authorize.NET and GoogleCheckout? Several of my existing customers are having difficulty processing their order since the upgrade. The issue seems inconsistent. Some users are able to process orders while others are getting some sort of "handshake" error...

I would recommend you to contact your hosting company regarding the issue.
