Hi All

Having trouble moving logo over to left to get rid of the unwanted space.
I have read other post in here about how to do it but nothing seems to be working.

It does not look like there should be any padding.
I have cleared the cache several times, with same results.
This is a standard header, not a fancy skin.

Any bod y got any ideas where else I should look?

In the skin1.css

I have this showing

If I use webmaster mode it says to look in the head. tpl.
Have done that as well

FYI- current logo in the header is only a holding device. Waiting for new one from the client.

Does the 'Container' class have any padding associated with it?

Thanks for answering and looking,
There is none in the container class, and I can find no padding anywhere else that should be causing this to happen. ( not that it should but have looked at the diallog, vert menus, etc changing those padding to see if I somehow have done something there that would cause it to effect the head.tpl where the logo is housed.

I am contemplating redoing the head .tpl from scratch as perhaps I have messed up something with that. BAffled once again

Well, all those nested tables will certainly cause problems with padding/spacing. Sometimes the TD tag will ignore CSS on alignment, so try adding this to the table cells containing the logo:

align="left"

A good idea
I tried that - but did not change anything.

I think I am going to have to probably try to redo the header.
Maybe its picking up something from the top_menu.tpl, or the tabs.tpl

Neither of these are showing padding though.

Heres a dumb question, don't know if it makes sense. Hope I can explain it right.

Before I redo the header could I try this to see if I can isolate the problem source.

go the head.tpl and edit out {**} top_menu.tpl. to see if that changes anything, if so then open that .tpl and then edity out tab.tpl

Or would this not matter or work ?

Does the top_menu.tpl need to be active for the head.tpl to display
If I can p roceed like this it may at least tell me what is causing the problem.

Here's what I'd do...create a completely new head.tpl and just put this in it:

If THAT doesn't left align, you know something is up. Oh and the image is also 67px high, not 70...causing a bit of degrading of the image because of scaling.

Will try this code,

I w as aware of the image size difference. I changed it last night in a futile attempt to see if somehow the image might be causing hte problem -

I just tried editing out the top_menu.tpl form the header but that didnlt resolve anyhtnig so I changes it back

Wanted to get back to you about the code you sent me to try and move the logo to the left.
Well
I made new head.tpl
used code you sent and it didn't change things. I still have the space there, however I did manage to get my problem solved.

Since this client doesn't really have a graphic logo I was able to get away with using type up there and think it will work out fine. In the event I need to put a logo up there and can't get it to drop out into the background for some reason then I may need to figure out the space problem then. in the mean time - NEXT- Moving on

I see this is an older thread - but if it is of help to anyone, I was able to eliminate the space left of the logo with:

PADDING-LEFT: 0px;

in skin1.css under .HeadLogo
