Has anyone purchased and implemented this? How does it seem to work for you?

I have downloaded the demo and it seems buggy.

I recommend you to download the software and try yourself.
We've been inproving this software and adding new features last year.

Initial releases weren't mature enough, but right now alot of people are using it. Even if the see they some specific problem - they just report it and we fix it in next release.

I've mentioned previously benefits this software brought to many people - just check previous posts.

I have posted this in the other forum and I will post it here again, simply because we love this product!

Store Manager for x-cart has been extremely productive for us, I have over 15000 products to work with and this application is a must if you are monitoring and updating thousands of products daily. I also manage and maintain database, customer orders, import and export products via Store Manager; you can even change the customers order details with this program. Store Manager is basically an all in one product that makes life easy for you!

MagneticOne Store Manager is very solid and stable now; I must admit that there were a few bugs in the early stages but than again every program has bugs in them. But Serge and the team from MagneticOne have always provided us with fast support and I really mean fast! But most of all, they really do provide a genuine service.

Magnetic one has some interesting software that does work good for the most part. I have the store manager, and use it when updating a large number of products.
I also purchased the Magnetic one banner system to see if I would like it.. I gave it a test and the one thing that concerns me is the ET call home feature ... whereas it has to check with the magnetic one server to see if you license is valid.... several times I got emails saying my license was no good or invalid. The peculiar thing was that it thought it was installed in the forums section of my site.... which does NOT even exist (forums.mysite.com)
I understand that its a good idea to license mods, and encrypt them, but having call home functions on an ecomerce site is just a little too creepy for me.... There is too much for sensitive data and customer info that I protect with a vengence.... having software that connects to another server is just asking for trouble in my opinion... 1. it relies on the other server to always be up, and that the internet connection to that server always be available, 2. if the license host server were to become hacked, I want no part of being connected to it in that case. 3. I have no idea what information is being querried from my database thru such modules.

Encryption would have been the better route to go.
I have disabled and removed the banners module in its entirety and will probably look for a different solution, and limit my time with store manager because there too is a constant live connection to the license server

There are no permanent link to license server. We had problems long time ago with unstable hosting/connection and made changes to licensing mechanism to completely avoid need to contact to our servers.
Even previously it was connecting to our server only if discovered new/non-licensed domain.

The only information that is passed between module and licensing server are domain name and some local technical configuration information (ip's). And this is done only once, assuming you stay on same hosting.

Licensing and enforcing such mechanisms are the only way to work normally from business point of vew for most software development companies on the net.

You can greatly help by making your suggestion how to make software work better.

I've had a trial version for almost a year now. The limited functionality was annoying but honestly, EVEN THE CRIPPLED VERSION WAS WORTH MONEY.

Finally working with a product import I found it necessary to FINALLY FINALLY break down and spring for it.


WORTH EVERY PENNY. I have tons of categories in my store and it allows manipulation of them in a really easy way. I basically love everything about it, except the product import is a little on the slow side (7000 products and 48M). And while I am not being paid to say all this, I did get a coupon after purchasing that I hope to use on more Magnetic One products in the future.

I just bought store manager and after a couple hours finally got it to connect to the database....not the softwares problem, but my server and dedicated IP....

But I still cannot get it to connect with FTP. It connects to my IP and I get a list of the folders in my root and select the Images folder and press test connection and it say I have not choose a base directory....waiting on a response from them on the problem
