Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
Hi Zane,
CDSEO ($149) is for products and categories. CDSEO for Static Pages ($49) is an addon to the base CDSEO, if you use Static Embedded Pages on your site and want them to use CDSEO urls as well. This is an addon since not everyone uses or wants the functionality for static pages. |

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the Quick reply. My site is hosted wiith NetRegistry Australia. They dont have an appache server - but use Zeus instead. (Not going to pretend I know the difference). I ran your test and the resilts returned. Your host accepts ForceType but does not allow AcceptPathInfo. Will your mod run on this server? |
Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
Most Zeus servers we've found not to be compatible, but you'll have to ask your host to see if it is supported.

Another answer -- from an owner's perspective:
I find my static page names to be VERY, VERY important for SEO, and simplicity for the user... Isn't is nicer to see: www.domain.com/help/shipping.html www.domain.com/help/contactus.html www.domain.com/help/store-locations.html That's why the CDSEO for static embedded pages is important. |

DSEFU does not run on NetRegistry either.

Well it looks like I am up a creek without a paddle. This may sound like a silly question, but I notice 4.1.8 generates some relativly friendly names for pages:
http://everythingpets.com.au/Rugs-Summer-p-1-c-255.html Would the only real benefit be that I wouldnt have had to generate the catalog manually. If i cant install a mod - any useful suggestions? |
Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
The html catalog generates some fine names, but you lose all dynamic functionality (mini-cart, login status) and you are forced to regenerate your cart daily so that your inventory is accurate. You will also have to write your own robots.txt files to ensure that you block the spiders from indexing the php files.

The HTML catalog also has duplicate content issues.

Interesting mod though I already rolled out something quite different for us that just uses mod_rewrite via MediaWiki style.

Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
Hello,
I am abit confused. Is it recommended to purchase both products or will CDSEO dynamic do it all? I'm sorry for the short question but I'm just not sure how to ask. Please explain why I would need both. Thank you for your help. |
Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
You do not need both DSEFU and CDSEO, you need one or the other.

Hi Jon,
Do you know if CDSEO would work on Windows Server 2008, IIS7 and PHP 5.2.5 via FastCGI? Thanks -Tuan |
Re: CDSEO Static pages ($49) V's CDSEO Dynamic ($149).
If isapi rewrite is used.
