Magnetic one google checkout mod problem
 

Guys, has anyone used the above? I am contacting them for support but I thought I'd ask here as well as I think the problem is to do with the way my cart and shipping system is setup.

It all seemed to install fine. But the problem is this that when I try to use it, everything works fine but when I try to place the order google checkout says "Watch Shop UK does not ship to this address"

I think x-cart is passing some address info incorrectly or its something to do with my shipping zones.

as always, If anyone can help i'd be most grateful

I don't think its your shipping zones - because x-cart checks for shipping before this stage.
We had x-cart implement GCO on a 4.0 site and were getting this error, possibly when people weren't even using GCO. In the end we had to ditch the implementation as x-cart couldn't replicate it or solve it.
Sorry, not a solution, but maybe it sheds a bit of light.

I have had this message with the current release of this their very buggy mod, I have stopped using it as I was loosing customers through it. I did email magneticone but their support is very poor, sorry for not being more helpful.

I too am having problems with their GCO mod, and am getting no support. It looks like avoiding this mod might be sensible, for now at least...

I've just noticed on their own site;

"We are changing this module, it is not available for sale now.
New version is planned in few weeks."

That doesn't look good...

We are working on improving this module and don't want to sell it until the moment when it will be more mature.

I fired developer who was developing this module - he was working on it for 8 months and was unable to achieve quality result.

We need some time to undertake development of this product - 8 months of work is alot. I hope developers will understand me.

And what compensation will you be providing to us that have given you $150 for a mod that does not work properly as it was sold ?

Savajr - I assume you are going to be offering refunds as 1) you sold us faulty software and 2) you are currently unable to supply.

At the moment I can say that we will provide compensation.
We will make it working properly or will refund.

I can say that right now this mod is working properly for very many stores.
There are still some problems, but we are working on it.

I'm sure very good compensation is to make it working, so you can use this method to process payments and save on each GC transaction.

We will find additional ways to make you happy with us.

1. We will offer refunds to all people where this mod doesn't work.
2. We will make it working.
3. We will provide additional bonuses to people who will be willing to provide feedback (actually already doing this to many people).

We used this mod and it worked for a bit and then died. No idea why.

In the end we upgraded to 4.1.7 and the xcart google checkout mod works fine

Fair play, that is all I would expect. I have requested a refund but I will repurchase when it is confirmed to be working and stable.

I am sorry to bring this to a public forum, but your team has simply stopped responding to my tickets.

Savajr. I bought this mod 21 days ago. You have tried and failed to get it to work. I have issued 3 separate support tickets asking for a refund, to which you agreed in this thread. However as soon as I mention refund I cease to get a reply.

I am happy to buy this mod for my THREE sites if you get it working perfectly. However until then, I am asking you for a refund here to restore my faith in your company.

I'm sure you've seen upgrade notice on product page and appropriate thread here saying that we are working on upgrading this module.

I have done exactly as you requested. Days ago.

The emails have reached you fine as I have had an automated reply.

But still you wont respond to me or refund me.

If you really need the Google Checkout for your site, it probably would be best for you to upgrade to the 4.1.8 version as GCHKOUT work good on this version.

I went with the mod, overall it was very easy to install. I'd like to move to 4.1.8 but it'd take at least a few weeks and the free Google processing is expiring.

The mod was cheap, and is easily added to the store.

MagneticOne's support has been top notch too!

Just thought I would add my pennies worth and say the the Magneticone Google Checkout Mod has been great, it was much cheaper than upgarding my site to 4.1 and Ruslan has made changes to the mod to suit my needs.

Yes I agree. Its been really great and works with realtime shipping as expected.

I have had a few fixes from bugs that I found, so you might want to check for updates :)
