X-Cart 4.1.2 released

X-Cart 4.1.2 is now available for downloading from your File area along with the upgrade kits that will take you from X-Cart 4.1.0-4.1.1 to 4.1.2.

To access the upgrade patch, log into the Help Desk, go to the 'My Licenses' section, find the license of the X-Cart that you wish to upgrade and click on the 'Get upgrade pack' link.

I'm not seeing the 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 upgrade under the "my licenses>upgrade" area... only the * to 4.1.1 packs

Looks like the full 4.1.2 version is up under distributives but the upgrade pack is not under the licenses section yet.

First bug found, with a brand new installation of version 4.1.2.

In the "Admin Console", under "Modules"....when I try to disabled some of the default modules it will not save the new settings after I click on "Update". After clicking "Update", the screen would refresh and come back showing those sames modules still being enabled with the box checked.

Let me know if anyone else here run into the same problem. Have a great weekend, guys.

Thanks for the report TL408 ... was hoping to try the upgrade out myself but they dont have it in the license section yet.
Balinor - if you read this, would it be possible to start a thread under "bugs and fixes" titled 4.1.2 bug issues? That way everyone can post to one area of things they find in the latest version. Just a suggestion- do as you wish :)

in categories when add new item no display 'category list', 'add category' or ' add subcategory' its a visual detail is single so that it is look like the box of manufacturers.

No I am using IE 6, sp2.

I've had problems saving data (such as creating a customer profile) when I forgot to setup the HTTPS. Perhaps you want to check that?

I also done a fresh install of 4.1.2 and have no problems with the disable of modules. You may talk to X-cart on your individual settings.

I upgraded one 4.1.1 PRO install and now I can't get into admin anymore. Recovery says: "Password: Data is corrupted or Merchant key is wrong!".

So, I made a fresh install and admin/admin doesn't get me in. Password recovery says admin/admin but it just keeps giving me the duplicate login/password error and keeping me at the admin login page.

Anyone had this issue with PRO?

I don't know if it's the right place to ask, so sorry if..

I would like to implement into my site the posibility to make extra charges (surcharges) for payment methods (for credit cards in my case). I see that option is available now in 4.1.2 version and could be great to implement into my 4.0.18 version. Can somebody point me to the right files to modify? I have beyond compare but there are so many unknown modifications so i better ask here first before anything

Wemaster Mode Buttons Not Formed Correctly

Hi All,

I started working with 4.1.0 rc4 and recently upgraded to 4.1.0 and then 4.1.2 (unfortunately, without really checking what went on in between).

Now, in Webmaster mode all the buttons are elongated and contain the html code for the function instead of the button title. Except for the "standard" buttons like "Copy", "Browse" etc which are OK.

Does anyone have an idea how to cure this, please?

Another bug still present in the 4.1.2 release........When the customer chooses PayPal as the payment, "shipping cost" does not get transferred over to the PayPal payment screen.

It does not show the shipping cost separately. This needs to be fixed so everything would be itemized separately, just like it is at the xcart checkout screen.

What version should I choose?

I'm about to set up a new shop here in July, and wonders if it is wise to set up x-cart 4.1.2? X-cart promote the new version on their homepage, but it is still in the "current branch" category and not the "stable branch", so I'm a little confused! Any suggestions?

svowl, the firefox WYSIWYG editor JS link is still not corrected (although the changelog suggested that it was).

WYSIWYG editor with 4.1.2 minor problem in firefox 1.5.0.4

Just did an upgrade [unix] from x-cart 4.1.1 to stop the blinking hourglass in Firefox. This was successful, (thank you) but now my admin tool will not show a cursor or allow typing into the WYSIWYG editor when there is an empty field.

If I switch to default editor and type in a character and switch toWYSIWYG editor, it then allows me to type in the textarea.

I also tried tabbing into the field from outside the WYSIWYG editor into the text box, no luck.

BTW, it works in explorer, but my client will be using firefox.

Well this is'nt good the file isnt available for download as a patch or upgrade. its not in the 4.1.1 folder, can anyone tell me where it is?

It should be there, its not in the file area, you have to go to my licenses. Use these instructions that were posted at the beginning of this topic.

To access the upgrade patch, log into the Help Desk, go to the 'My Licenses' section, find the license of the X-Cart that you wish to upgrade and click on the 'Get upgrade pack' link.

i have a probelem with the 4.1.2

customer name dosnt show up in billing and shipping

4.1.2: Product Code/Import/Options Bug

I just reimported my product options and the products.tpl (viewed on manufacturers) has changed the products codes. For example, I have a sku "5000" and it now says "500014".

I checked the product in admin and it still states "5000" so this has something to do with the importing of product options and the productcode display on the products.tpl. Where the productcode is being called from must be wrong...

This also shows up in a product search in admin, but when you open up a product the SKU is the correct one.

Yes, but you shouldn't see variant (or child) SKU's on pages where the $product.productcode variable is called, that's a definitive bug. The main/parent remains correct in the product, but not when displayed from the products templates (used in search, manufacturers etc.)- needs to be checked out...

Can you please take a look at the codes for "Admin Pannel" area for this version 4.1.2 ? When I use SSL certificate to encrypt the "Admin Pannel" area, I get the error message below through out several areas of the "Admin Pannel".

One area is the "Languages" section. Looks like something is not coded correctly to switch from regular http over to https.
