Oh you are such a tease..... You know full well that im going to have to buy this...... and just before xmas as well when cash is short.

Looks good - not so sure about showing the customer the session ID and ip address , is this information that they would need to know at any time???

Support Ticket System with SLA's

Hello Adam,

The Admin IP is hidden from the Customer, and the Session ID is there own, so no issue.

Just for reference...

Some stores still show the XID in the url.

And, if you do not want it, it is 3 comments in the tpl.

Was looking through your site and though I would mention something...

When looking at the product listings for the X-Cart Modules, the product "Apparel Sizing Grid - 1, 2, or 3 dimensions " has a price of "Price: AUD $225.00 (USD $ 168.75)" but when going to that product page the price is "Price: AUD $324.00 (USD $ 243.00)"

Apparel Sizing Grid.

Hello,

Yes, the Apparel Sizing Grid, needs to be installed by us.

It is complex, and takes between 3 to 4 hours.

So the install fee is very reasonable (cheap as chips).

gary,

well done mate, looks very well thought out and well put together

Hey Garry,

Will this work for XC 3.4.6

Michael

Can you get it to support email piping?

I will have to put my 2 cents here about the grid mod. Paying Gary to installed the mod is the best thing as the mode is very complex and it makes the admin life so much easier and not having customers having problems selecting the wrong size in items.

Gary, Thank you for the md.

Kind regards,
Ricky

Have to admit that Garys grid mod looks like a lot better than ours (was ours the inspiration ???) so im definatley using it on the new underwear site that we will be doing - got a few ideas for improvments as well :D

rjcbear 11-29-2005 10:06 AM

Well Adam share the improvements so you can see it in my site and see if you like it.

Colud not reist.

Support Tickets with SLA's

Jon,

Have considered it, and it is possible.

E-mail piping will probably be a plug-in for the Support Tickets.

Also, anybody you buys the Support Tickets, will get free updates for 1 year, and it is built that they can just install the new files, with no new edits.

At $74.50, I am sure it is priced to low for the amount of effort that went into it. I real bargin, and I think very popular.

Hope this helps.

Support Tickets with SLA's for X-CART Gold

Michael,

Yes. 3.4.x is available. But for the first customers, I would prefer to do the installation.

It does not impact the store at all, but want to make sure things are right.

Will even do the install for free for the first customers.

Will add the 3.4.x, 3.5.x, and 4.1.x options in a few moments.

Support Tickets with SLA's on Departments

Hello all,

I have tested and released 3.5.x for the Support Ticket System.

Will have 3.4.x cpmpleted some time in the next 24 hours.

So this system, is now available in 3.4.x, 3.5.x 4.0.x, and 4.1.x

The images on display are also a little old now. We have added extra functionality to the Ticket Filter (Date Range, and Hide Closed Tickets) and have also added a auto-refresh function on the admin tickets list, so the page reloads every xx seconds.

You will never miss a ticket.

PS: X-CART Plus will be closing for Holidays between Jan 9 and Jan 25, excluding emergency support.

Thedae2k 12-21-2005 05:01 PM

Looks great...might have to take a second look after the holidays.

X-CART Plus modules

James,

No, not at present.

We had a new virus get through our firewall, and destory all data.

All windows partitions (FAT and NTFS) were deleted, and drive settings changed which made recovery of data impossible.

As we are talking gb's of data, we had a SAN on our network for backups. This was also taken out.

It made our year.

Was reported to MS and Symantec.

Running XP SP2 with all patches, and NIS 2006 with all latest virus updates, as well as a firewall. Still got through. A dangerous one.

We are in recovery mode, and will be rewriting all of our mods and more in the coming weeks.

Anybody else reading this, burn backups, or get some tape drives.

PS: Linux partitions and machines were not touched.

Ouch... double and triple ouch, that's not good 8O

garryhs 08-11-2006 02:40 AM

Firetank and others

Yes, it was not good.

All up over 100 hours and costs of around $5k for new equipment

We had to throw out the old drives, 5 in all (1 terabyte).

We have now set up the same structure, but have a triangle of switches and routers and put additional machines on there own network on each side of the SAN.

Ie: Internet comes in through router to SAN, from router breaks off to 2 additional routers, and then to each network.

Each network can access the SAN, but cannot access each other what so ever.

To top it off, we are now pulling the cable on Network B, and only plugging in to do backups, thus we have a complete fall back network.

It has been the worst virus I have seen in 18 years.

We even had to re-build all of the Linux Boots that were running on shared machines, as the first Boot was XP, and Boot Sector could not be repaired.

We bought a number of recovery tools, but as this was a destructive virus and not a simple virus that just delete partition tables. Nothing could be recovered.

Goes to show you are not even safe with the very latest virus software !

Anybody reading this, waiting on us, please be hold and we will be with you as quickly as possible.

No customers or Live servers were effected, just the complete development platform.

Take your backups guys, or consider a similar setup to what we have now implemented.

X-CART Plus :x

garryhs 08-11-2006 02:51 AM

I cannot say it enough....

Even if you take backups, as we were...

If you need your data, TAKE BACKUPS, IMPLEMENT TAPE DRIVES, OR SETUP A FALLBACK SYSTEM.

Nothing is Safe !!!

smartoption 08-17-2006 03:27 AM

garryhs, that is bad luck. It just goes to show you can never really be to carefull.

Do you have any kind of time frame before you think you'll have all mods rebuilt and running again.

Thanks

James
