integrated a forum into xcart

has anyone here integrated a forum like phpbb or vbulletin into xcart?

i thought it was worth a shot asked but figuring that no one integrate a poll this must be a big NO, well make that a not yet because i'm gonna do it !!!!

phpBb would be the easiest fit. You could even use almost the same templates (although smarty-less) and style sheet.

Cant see any major issues.

gonna try

gonna give it a good shot, i like to use the same log-in for x-cart as for phpbb, so i'm working that uuggggh, i'll get there eventually

funkydunk 02-24-2003 11:11 AM

i'm sure you will keep us all posted :D

I know i'd be interested in passing customer login/pwd and other info along into phpBB, so its all tightly integrated without making people re-register.

as funk says, I know you'll keep us posted :D

Great! Can't wait to integrate forum into x-cart so that my customer can interact with me. Keep up the effort and keep us posted. Thanks

I've Nuked my Site !!!!

hav'nt done it yet but i'm 96% their not only that i've almost officially nuked my site (phpnuke.org) along with integrating phpbb, so basically i'm very close to have nuke, phpbb and xcart all working together, what a nightmare, and no i truly have no idea why i'm doing this other then a great challenge !!!

Forum Intregration

Anything New Yet?

snorocket 03-17-2003 07:02 PM

not yet

its a total disaster trying to do, i got a little more past halfway and decided i was wasting my time, i may give it another attempt but i'd rather try to integrate xcart with vbulletin instead of phpbb, i really don't like phpbb, so much so that i'd pay the $150 for vbulletin anyday

John7 03-18-2003 08:57 AM

Darn

I was hoping that would work out!

Good luck with the other bbs.

Please keep me postedk. It'd be great to have a forum integrated.

Any news on this development. PhpBB intergrated with X-cart would be fab!!!!!

There appears to be a lot of discussion on the subject however has anyone successfully intergrated phpBB or Vbulletin into X-Cart and if so what is required.

Thanks and good luck.

hav'nt heard anything

hav'nt heard anything from xcart, when they send you emails all you get is the no-replay@x-cart.com address so i guess no ones wants a reply so i hav'nt heard anything, i gave up on it anyways and went another route, there has been enough complaining on this board for them to know people want it.

barabbas 06-16-2003 02:34 AM

it would be easy to just have it in a frame - that might be what you mean anyway...

phpbb sharing same database as X-cart

Is it a good idea to let phpbb share the same database with X-Cart? I'm assuming that this can be done ...

Just thought I'd bump this thread with the following one way integration modules:

is300.net

It seems like IS300.net were able to integrate Phpbb into their website. Any news with X-cart?
