Customer login issue after I uploaded my site
I have been developing my x-cart locally.
Everything works fine until I uploaded to my web host. I can no longer access the customer login section as those pages turn up blank. Any ideas ? help.php?section=login shows a blank page. |
I get this error in my log
PHP Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "help/Login.tpl" |
I've tried CHMOD 777 and still the same thing.
|
Sounds like your server looks a login.tpl and Login.tpl differently. Try changing the case to login.tpl and see what happens.

balinor to save the day again !
i wonder why this is. I assume this must be a big issue for those on UNIX machines as well. But thanks again. |
That is why you will see most if not all of the templates are all lowercase. Keep to that rule and you'll be fine :)
|
the weird thing is that it came like that. I would assume xcart was developed on a non unix based machine ?
|
You must have created that template, because it is not part of the standard X-Cart Gold installation.
|
you might be right about that one :)
btw what does this mean ? PHP Warning: parse_url(https://): Unable to parse url in /home/html/config.php on line 295 Now I get this error and unable to continue with checkout. |
Means something is wrong with your https:// url. Make sure it is set up correctly in config.php.
|
I believe windows is not case sensitive and unix is, so if you develop locally on windows you may have some compatibility issues.
