Removing Price from Featured Items & Subcategories
 

Hello,

I would like to take out pricing from the featured items and the subcategories. This way, the price would only show at the end of the detailed description and there only.

The reason we want to do this, is so people do not see the price until the end.

Can anyone help?

Anyone got any ideas for this. Seems our original poster is not available.

I don't want viewers to see any price or buy now button on the Featured Products. I can't figure out how to fix it.

You just need to comment out the price section (and the buy now section) on the appropriate template. products_t.tpl or products.tpl

I don't have a products_t.tpl in my version - at least I can't find one.

Anyway, I've played around with the products.tpl and commented out any references to price, but nothing happened.

Can you tell me exactly where to remove the price, quantity and buy button from the Featured Products.

Are you using a single column sub-category layout or multiple columns?

If you remove it from the featured products display, it will also be removed from the products display under a category unless you create a new template. What would you like to do?

That's what I guessed would happen. I've seen a few sites where they've taked these items off the featured items but they were still in their categories.

I suppose I would need a new template. Do you know how to do that?
