Does anyone know if it is possible to run a backup copy of x-cart in another directory with CDSEO?
We have a backup copy in another directory running a copied database. We use it to test mods and changes before we do it on teh live database. When we try to url to the backup x-cart it seems cdseo redirects or browser issues a loop error.

In the .htaccess of your root x-cart, find:


Change to (modify yoursubdir to subdirectory name):

Is it possible to purchase an open source version, I may be changing the file structure of my x-cart site.

No its not possible to purchase an open source version but most of the customer side files are unencrypted.

Jon, tried that .htaccess change above by adding subdirectory. Tried every combination, makes no difference.

I just like to add here for reference that the problem I had in the sub-directory x-cart was wrong permissions set on some directories. Jon at CDSEO help fix the problem, sorry Jon for the hassle. You provide awesome service. And CDSEO is worth every cent - excellent program.
Anyone thinking about buying this software should, the ROI will be ten fold within 6 months.
