I meant that I applied the XCSEO patches to those files the same way you did. Since there were changes to those files from 4.1.10-4.1.11, I wasn't sure about some of them, but I did them the same way you did.

Anyway, I have made sure the module is enabled, but I'm still getting 404 not found errors. Not sure what's wrong. I've checked everything multiple times.

I seem to remember something about the "Specify a keyword to inject into rewritten urls:". I left this blank, and checked the rest of the boxes except those having to do with "migration from CDSEO", I just left them blank.

Can you give an example of the rewritten url, and maybe the "php" url to the same product?

this is a very very bad guy, he installed the mod for me and i paid him $120 which was not working, i had to report to my credit card to file dispute, and he logged in my web site using the password i gave him and broke down my web site, fortunately i could recover it and changed password, he keep trying to using the password and similar phrase to log in.

why i know it was him, xcart has the master log in failure warning and i got the ip address was from 24.40.216.236 north carolina, i found his info from the same address:

Technical Contact:

PHP Site Solutions

So, if you guy paid him and no respond, call his phone number 704-905-0271, first file the dispute from your credit card company, i swear if this guy try again to log in my admin, i will report to the policy and anti hack organization.

albertchui,
I think you may have this module confused with some other one. This module is FREE. I feel sorry for you if you paid anyone $120 for this FREE mod. The XCSEO v1.4.0 module has worked well for us, was easy to install, and since it is FREE, well worth the price.
I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

He said he paid someone to install it, for which it would be reasonable to charge someone for.

Or, he could have been referring to the Pro version of the module, which costs exactly $120.

That is what I am thinking. I have read where the Pro version has some "issues".

Yeah, or both. :-)

albertchui: I suspect there's more to the story here. Did he refuse to fix the issues or refund your money or did you try to work it out with him before you rescinded payment with your credit card company? I've worked with phpsitesolutions in the past and this seems a bit out of character...

For anyone still having the problem coppercup mentioned, you need to go into your .htaccess file and edit the line:

Code:

#RewriteBase /

remove the # and put in the base directory of your install:

Code:

RewriteBase /xcart

(Also, I suggest not using JWait's provided auth.php file, which will cause the expiration_date error mentioned upthread; this module can patch the auth.php file of a freshly installed X-Cart 4.1.11 correctly.)

Thanks for all the discussion in here, though, everyone, and the prepatched files, JWait; it was a big help for me in getting this module working.
