Dear Jon, i double checked all my upload and insert, all are ok by instruction, but still having the error, and now the pages are not cdseo url, it's xcart default urls, pls help, thanks

I've been at this too long now without a break and need a sanity check:

If I redirect with 301 many disabled product URLs to the same page will this constitute duplicate content?

Google has identified lots of legacy links to non-existent pages (error 404) and there are no appropriate product pages to link to, so for each I was going to 301 redirect in my .htaccess files to the closest fit page, which will result in many redirects to the same destination page.

It is always best if the url doesn't change or isn't removed, but it won't be seen as duplicate content. Search engines would rather see many 301 redirects than many 404.
