Thanks. It's working great.
Too bad you can't use the cached images for the larger image display.
Btw, where do you set the image dimensions? The images are rather small... 598px x 449px
I prefer to have them around 700px, so more detail can be seen.

The image size is achieved by the file thickbox.js look around line 80.
I haven't given up on the larger image yet, just looking for some free time to re-investigate.

Well I'm glad you got something from Telafirma, I have sent him several emails since ordering the mod in December and heard nothing, I can understand if someone is ill, but he is in a service industry and if I did not respond to my customers at all after 2 weeks, I would not deserve to be in business. I do not believe the author of this mod is bothered any longer, what a shame, a great mod !

He's already made the Dynamic Image mod for 4.1.x

From what I know; He is waiting for 4.1.x to be stable.

I have tested the mod myself and it has some excellent functionality!

Plus one can manage everything about this mod from the admin section!

Unfortunately it looks like Telafirma is not available for whatever reason, I cannot wait indefinitely, and have raised a dispute with paypal to get it charged back.

I either need the mod soon or my money back. Or I will unfortunately have to take some form of action.

His web design site needs to be taken down if he is not working. From the looks of things he has been taking payment and not providing the services for quite some time now. He needs to act soon before the situation escalates.

No, I've had to remove the mod from my latest website as he never got back in touch after he asked for server details to finish the installation for me. That was a couple of weeks ago.

I'm thinking he may be ill or something as he doesn't seem to be able to update his own business websites, there are a couple of SQL errors at the top of the page on the Angela Carol website that I pointed out to him a few weeks ago. Although I am a bit upset that he wasn't able to finish the installation, I figure there must be something serious that's preventing him from supporting his software.

As to alternatives, that's what I'm looking at now. There doesn't seem to be an off the shelf mod so i'm seeing what I can find in the completed mods forum.

An alternative (and almost identical) mod can be obtained for free at http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=27911 which is what the Telafirma mod is based on.
I am using this on my site after not getting the mod from Telafirma, I did get a refund from him though.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot today. I'll have to uninstall the telefirma mod from the new site by hand as its a copy n paste of the old site. Shame as I didn't mind paying for it since it was so good.

Mine was a copy and paste too but I've managed to get it to work pretty much the same as before with the freebie.

I too am waiting for 4.1 mod release, or at least a word on it.... been waiting for 4 months, actually, since I went 4.1 soon as it was released by x-cart, so never had the chance to experience all these nice mod features everyone's talking about... Hope one day I will :)

Thanks Ranger82nd, that solution worked great. Set the size of 150 x 150 to 70 x 70 / 70 x 75 and you get the best result :D.

Any update for the larger images? Would be nice...

I am afraid I only read some of the posts in here four days after paying for an install of the mod by Paypal,

I have heard nothing since then despite a range of e-mails. Has anyone had a success with Telafirma or should I be raising a dispute with Paypal?

For $75 X-cart will install Cerdmann's thumb script which will work with HTML catalog and detailed images....allegedly anyway, I'm waiting for them to implement it on one of my sites!

I have now raised a dispute with Paypal. I think X Cart should now remove any promotional reference to Telafirma on these forums as that is why I bought it in the first place. It is obviously happening to others also as can be seen from above.

Lets get rid of all references to TelaFirma please X Cart??

Does anyone else supply an equivalent 3rd party add-on. I am not interested in coding myself but will pay fro someone to supply it?

I'm moving to a new hosting provider and this mod is not working on the new site because of licensing. I haven't moved DNS yet while I test that everything is working. Does the license depend on domain name alone (so when I do point DNS to the new server it will work), or does it depend on IP as well (which means it won't work)?

I'm basically stuck until I can figure this out.

Stephen? I sent you and email, can you respond? Anyone else know?

AFAIK it's domain dependent and should work once the DNS is setup correctly to work with the new site.

I ordered the mod at the beginning of January. Stephen finally put it on my site in mid February after I mentioned PayPal chargebacks, and he kindly put it on my other site for free. I will say that It worked really well.

But yesterday it started causing problems and I get erropr messages over much of my site, I need to get it fixed and of course Stephen hasn't replied to my email...

BTW, I was able to change my DNS and the mod worked on the new server. It does not work if you are viewing your site using your IP address in the URL.

Stephen has been in touch with me today and is trying to sort the problem out.

Seems my host limits PHP to 8Mb per user and on shared servers and larger images (450Kb) are pushing me over this limit.

So I'd like to confirm to the Forum that Telafirma may be hard to communicate with, but he is out there and he does respond to polite emails!

I also feel that the DIG is an excellent mod, PHP resources permitting.

Stephen had problems with his spam folder being a bit over zealous, so he basically hasn't been getting most of the e-mails he should have received from Paypal and his customers. I had asked for a Paypal refund because I hadn't heard from him since purchasing the mod several weeks ago, but he replied a few days ago and has been very helpful!
I'll let you know what I think of the mod as soon as I've installed it!
Spam is really ruining the internet - I get over 100 a day in my GMail account.

I purchased this mod long ago and it worked fine for a long time. But I decided to update to 4.1.6 and tried forever to get in touch with Telafirma which I never got a reply back. Wanted to see if an update was in the works.

Anyway I paid Xcart support points to update the Mod for me. 300 Points ($150) and thought it was working smoothly until it went live. Now I noticed the mod isn't working correctly at all after spending $150 to have Xcart support update it.

Every image on my site is now just using the original large file and slowing down my server and the thumbs look horrible.

Does anyone know of another mod out there that is similiar to this mod that will work on 4.1.6? Does anyone know if Telafirma is actually doing anything or not?

LOL, they wouldn't let me use my support points to pay to get Cerdmanns's thumb module working on my site, had to pay $75 but they have now got it working.

I would say if you've paid, then X-Cart should make it work as they haven't fulfilled their obligation to you.

X-Cart now have some knowledge of how Cerdmann's thumb plugin works based on what I asked them to do, so I would have thought getting it to work with 4.1 would be pretty easy i.e. you shouldn't need to find an alternative.

Well, I haven't heard back from TelaFirma from well over a week now. I installed the mod and it needed a few tweaks, they said they'd be able to fix it all for me, but then nothing. I've sent seven or eight e-mails but got no reply, which is a shame. I wish X-Cart would just implement the Cerdmann mod as part of X-Cart, that would benefit thousands of users and save us all a lot of hassle.

I agree, that would mean we can get these problems fixed and actually use the mod. As it is, I'm probably going to give up on the whole dynamic image thing altogether, and go back to the way it was before, which was fine anyway. (I'd already done 150 products and their thumbnails, which was most of my stock.)

I agree as it is BS that we cant upgrade the cart properly without the mod being updated as well. I'm losing sales because Telafirma fdoesn't reply to any emails and Xcart did not get the mod update done correctly.
