Looks like theres been an updated version of 4.4.2 released (Timestamp Jan 13 11 18:01:01)

I've just installed it and looks like issue #0038971 (Unable to remove categories from the store administration area) has been resolved. :)

However issue #0038978 (Unable to display the Default site 'Title' tag after editing) still remains :(

This is GREAT news, thanks X-cart development team for resolving this issue.

If you can also fix the title tag, then I think you will all have a lot of very satisfied customers.

My 4th attempt at installing v4.4.2 Gold (Timestamp Jan 13 11 18:01:01)
And the skin issue still remains...
It's due to the JS/CSS speedup tool being enabled by default.
I will post a bug report, sigh...

Try a workaround solution - specify the necessary site title value in the 'lbl_site_title' language variable:

1. Log in to the admin area
2. Go to the "Languages" section
3. Select a language in the "Edit language" selectbox.
4. Select a topic: Labels.
5. Find the 'lbl_site_title' variable and edit its value in the input box.
6. Click the "Apply changes" button.

This language variable is also used on welcome.tpl. But I guess I can update this template to use a different/new variable as I'd want to add some keywords within the meta title.

Flyout category caching still doesn't appear to work in v4.4.2.

It also appears that the JS/CSS speedup tool is totally broke since they introduced the new 'Optimization settings' features.

X-Cart is totally bloated and virtually unusable without the JS/CSS speedup tools, so until they fix it, I'd stick with v4.4.1.

If I download the 4.4.2 package and start working on it, is there anyway that I can update the same 4.4.2 release once the developers fix the bugs?

ie: I download the 4.4.2 Gold with the "(Timestamp Jan 13 11 18:01:01)" timestamp, but an hour later a new version comes out. - Do I have to download the new package and start all over again?

It would be nice if someone could post an assessment of 4.4.2. What 'major' bugs are left that could make a roll-out a show-stopper?

Currently in my mind from reading this thread its the 'Title Tag' issue, the CSS/JS speedup and 'Adding/Removing Categories'?

Others?

Will these major bugs be fixed in a quick fix 4.4.2 release, or are we best off now waiting for 4.4.3?
