Hi Lori -
Your questions seem to indicate you are just getting started with X-Cart. I think you need to set your expectations for a stable, production v4.4 appropriately. If your time schedule is open-ended, that is, you are not under the gun for a production release of your site, then it may be okay to wait for the v4.4 expected August release. Also, if you plan on being an early adopter of 4.4 for production a site, it is advisable that you are skilled with X-cart. History shows us that the early versions need a little time to get stable, so it is a bit risky for a live shop, unless you have some experience at debugging any issues, applying patches and working well with QT and people on the forum in case there are any major problems for your implementation. Just take the risks of a using a new version into account with your schedule and skill level so you don't get into an difficult situation. If you need v4.4 quickly - it is advisable to be working really hard with the betas, so you are familiar with it and have tried implementing the mods you will need.

(To get an idea of history - look at the bugs forum at the activity near the 4.3.0 and 4.2.0 releases. QT are getting better each time, and the quality of this beta test may be higher - but just be aware of the risks.)

As far as I understand it, it should be out in about 18 days at the end of beta testing.

They do release it right after beta is over or within a few days of it, right?

I have been trying to figure this out for a few hours now, and I am getting no smarter...

This is the newest version of X-Cart, 4.4 beta...
It seems great, a real upgrade from the other versions we have... BUT...

I have set the destination zone ( country and region ), flat shipping fee of 10 eur for the shipping method, BUT I get 0.00 shipping cost when checking out, when it is supposed to be 10.00.
Product does not have free shipping, there is only one setting for the shipping charge ( no "over certain amount for free" )..

It will work if I just set it to zone default, but that is really not an option.
Any idea what is causing this? It is driving me nuts...

Well, it is a beta, so it very well could be a bug. Really should be posting issues with the beta in the beta release thread, so I'll move this there.

Not sure if I should report this as a bug, 4.4 and xpayments support refunds and partial refunds, and partial charges, but xcart has no added those to the order status.

Any ideas on this.

I don't think this will qualify as a bug but we have been asking for more order statuses for like forever and yet still no changes; users are forced to hack the cart to add statuses. I would report it to QT - add more statuses or better yet make it possible for admin to define own statuses

Just installed the Beta (which looks great so far) but I cannot for the life of me find where the settings are at for UPS real-time now. Used to be under the "modules" section. Anyone else run across this one yet?
