Re: CDSEO Pro - Complete SEO Solution - Custom Urls, Page Titles, Meta Data, Link Anchors
As someone stated earlier, Jon does do excellent work when you can get hold of him. His response on tickets lately has been extremely slow if any at all which is very frustrating from a long time customer. I've had some CDSEO code showing up on every page of my site for some reason, and can't seem to get a response on it. Jon, would love to get a response on ticket FWE-715-96128 dealing with this as well as some prior tickets not replied to for months. Don't really like to post this kind of stuff on the forums, but it's been extremely tough getting responses on your mods purchased.
Thanks |

Hi Ryan. I have been pulled out of the office in recent months to tend to pressing personal issues, but am proceeding with work as usual now. Tickets are being responded to within our 3-business day time-frame. Your ticket was posted on the 16th and is queued for response today which I will be answering shortly. The short answer to your question, is that the code on the top of your page is not CDSEO related and is likely an error made by somebody working on your site who is echoing code intentionally. I will post more details in your ticket. |

Yes indeed. |

Hi Robert, I appreciate your insight and assure you my views are not simply ethnocentric. The creation of truly international urls is a large scale change to CDSEO particularly since it has to integrate with X-Cart without introducing problems. I am evaluating and testing requirements for this however but it wouldn't be available until the next major release of CDSEO as there would be much change and testing required. Jon |
Re: CDSEO Pro - Complete SEO Solution - Custom Urls, Page Titles, Meta Data, Link Anchors
Hi Jon,
Does your last vesrion of CDSEO allow to include categories in the product URLs? Some SEO men argue that rankings would be better with categories included. Regards, |
Re: CDSEO Pro - Complete SEO Solution - Custom Urls, Page Titles, Meta Data, Link Anchors
It doesn't, though it is on our road map. I do have a free addon for this purpose I can provide which installs as a CDSEO module. Just request through https://www.websitecm.com/support/

Don't worry Jon will sort that out :) I did the same thing a while back. :D I agree with the response though, I'm waiting for some modules domain to change over, I think he's very busy or his support system isn't working properly yet, don't worry though he's a good guy. :D Anyways, Jon if you're reading I have a question, I've just bought the Google rich snippets mod but not sure if it works with CDSEO yet can you confirm? |
Re: CDSEO Pro - Complete SEO Solution - Custom Urls, Page Titles, Meta Data, Link Anchors
Hello Jon,
Please let me know if category description in CDSEO overwrite descriptions in the X-cart themselves. We have a VERY weird case: our hired SEO-man modified a category description inside X-cart and also put there a unique nice article. Initially, the listing went up from 35 to 24th position, but then within 2 weeks it was dropped from Google altogether. I wonder if there may be some kind of a conflict between X-cart and CDSEO's description which Google sensed and penalized us. |

You should know that Meta Descriptions and Meta tags play no part in Googles algorithm, Google will show whatever description they seem relevant to the user. Just creating content doesn't get you ranked on Google for keywords, get authority & quality backlinks to the category. Google may be doing 'Google dance' but I very much doubt it unless you've built links to the category. Either way you were ranked 24th and I can only assume you got no visitors off that. As you really need to be top 5 on serps anyways. I just hope you're not hiring a fake 'SEO man' as there are so many noobs out there. :D/ |
