Re: new store stuck in maintenance

Thanks for the instruction, Steve.

I just tried to select 50 modules and install them. It went through pretty good, with no errors.
Could you please let me know whether you used X-Cart Free edition?

Thank you.

Tony

5. It looks like selecting modules to install from different pages in the modules list causes this. Selecting 5-6 which are on the same page works.
6. The module I remember showing sql error with order was Multicurrency.
7. I was not able to install MailChip and Mandrill together within the same selection. Separate they installed.

X-Cart NFR license. I don't think this is the free version.
Brand new installation, didn't even have the license key entered yet.

Re: new store stuck in maintenance

OMG,

same issue here,

We started the upgrade process from 4.2 to the new 5.2 in April and we are supposed to go live this week.

I downloaded the updates from 5.2.x to 5.2.5 and a couple of days later the entire system took a dump.

The client had added in 600+ products with thousands of photos and pdf files...also static pages etc.

Now the mysql database is corrupt and trying a rebuild always brings the error :

Deploying store [step 5 of 13], please wait...
Run the "Doctrine_Plugin_UpdateSchema" plugin...

ERROR: "0" (code N/A)
An exception occurred while executing 'ALTER TABLE `xc_profiles` MODIFY `default_card_id` INT UNSIGNED NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth` VARCHAR(255) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_txn_id` VARCHAR(255) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_status` CHAR(1) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_interface` VARCHAR(255) NULL,': SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

After spending 40+ hours with no sleep attempting to restore the data from backups, we realize there is a serious problem with the new 5.2.5 version and we are screwed.

I have now attempted a brand new vanilla install with the barebones modules...only the Banner and Flyout Menu modules we purchased are added.

As soon as we add a few categories, add a couple of static pages and then...bang

same thing, shopping cart goes to "The site is temporarily closed for maintenance"

and we are screwed...

PLEASE make the 5.2.4 file available as we cannot even install this version.

we neeed help!!!

Re: new store stuck in maintenance

Hello @mgwashburn,

I am sorry to hear about those problems. Let us try to find what we can do:

1) When your new store shows the "The site is temporarily closed for maintenance" message, did you try to recover it as described here:
http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/What+to+do+if+you+cannot+access+your+store+and+it+ says+we+are+deploying+new+changes#Whattodoifyoucan notaccessyourstoreanditsayswearedeployingnewchange s-Dropandre-createyoursite'scache

It should help without installation of 5.2.4

2) Just in case you still need 5.2.4, you can download it from here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23858825/x-cart-5.2.4-en.tgz

3) If you still have files and database of the store that produced the aforementioned error:
Code:

An exception occurred while executing 'ALTER TABLE `xc_profiles` MODIFY `default_card_id` INT UNSIGNED NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth` VARCHAR(255) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_txn_id` VARCHAR(255) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_status` CHAR(1) NULL, MODIFY `pending_zero_auth_interface` VARCHAR(255) NULL,': SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

could you please pack and send them to me? It would allow the team to check the problem and apply some fix, so you would be sure it is not going to happen again.

Thank you.

Tony

@PatPgtips,

Just tried to replace this problem locally and it does not happen to me.

Could you please let me know whether I can investigate the problem directly on your server? if so, please email us at sales@x-cart.com with reference to Tony Sologubov.

Thank you.

@PatPgtips,

Could you please allow me to investigate the problem right on your server? I feel it is something related to the environment. If we figure out what is wrong, you will be able to save time switching to another solution.

If it sounds interesting, please just send a message to sales@x-cart.com with reference to Tony Sologubov and this thread.

Thank you.

Re: new store stuck in maintenance

Same problem with new install of 5.2.5

Now I get this Friggin' Error!!!

Deploying store [step 5 of 13], please wait...
Run the "Doctrine_Plugin_UpdateSchema" plugin...

ERROR: "0" (code N/A)
An exception occurred while executing 'DROP INDEX IDX_ED2984B1BF05C450 ON xc_clean_urls': SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1091 Can't DROP 'IDX_ED2984B1BF05C450'; check that column/key exists

This occurred when activating banner system module.

How do I fix it on a new install?

Ok, reinstalled the store and activated the banner module first. It worked fine. I continued to enable modules one at a time... no problem. I tried to disable 3 modules at one time... I get this Friggin' error again!

ERROR: "0" (code N/A)
An exception occurred while executing 'DROP INDEX IDX_ED2984B1BF05C450 ON xc_clean_urls': SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1091 Can't DROP 'IDX_ED2984B1BF05C450'; check that column/key exists

It does not matter which module or order, it's seemingly random.

Anybody have a clue as to how I can fix this.
