Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
The new CloudSearch will be available for XCN? I know there is one already available in your Market Place.

Some of us have been using Litecommerce 3 for months and months now. It is pretty much the same product so it's had a lot of testing. |

I think you are making a mistake here. It's been a week, you shouild give it a month. This is brand new product - don't rush it out just because we waited for it for 3 years. After that long time another month or so is very much acceptable especially if it helps to find and fix bugs. I agree - with the new architecture and way of updating the software it is easier to fix bugs on the fly at any time but still... I think you should give it to end of the month for beta testing before making the above statement |
Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
So far so good. Just going by the demo it looks nice and clean. It would be good to see it with lots of categories on it like our own store.
I wouldnt mind beta testing this out as I know our company wont fork out the money for a new licence unless they see it working with our products on it. I love the social media integration. Well done Qteam good job |

There is no CloudSearch module yet, but I believe it will be released soon. Quote:
You still can try it by downloading the free trial version before purchasing a license: http://next.x-cart.com/ It has all features of the full version. |

So this is another question - so existing XC owners will have to buy XC Next? They will not be able to upgrade to it for free as it is right now with XC? What happens to X-Payments? Whoever has it already will they be able to continue using it with XC Next or they will have to purchase an upgrade to it as well? Basically what is the policy now for XC Next? |
Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
There is some pricing info for current x-cart users in the FAQ, not much about x-payments however. http://next.x-cart.com/faqs.html

Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
If I understand correctly an XC owner with one license will be allowed to migrate to XC Next for $49 and also to purchase another XC Next license at 50% off. This doesn't sound bad at all.

Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
Not bad at all - until feb 15th - so we have time to make decisions based on a road map. Hopefully - more information on planned features will be forthcoming. But your x-payments query is a good one. Hopefully - an x-payments license can migrate with a shop if the shop upgrades to Next!

Re: X-Cart Next beta testing
In my opinion the start is good. Now all depends of features, their costs and when they will be available. The best features in XC4 should be part of XCN, adapted to our days. As I remember a long list with ideas was supplied by us when QT grabbed information from community.
