I am facing a problem on Checkout page where on the right side of page few menu items like Shopping Cart | Contact us are overlapping with My Account and Sign Out.

Klemens, double check your 'alternate currency' module is installed correctly. Looks like it's breaking the template at the point the alt currency dropdown appears.

We removed the account dropdown login panel in this version, as x-cart now has it's own login popup box.
You'd have to get your category menu template customised to display subcategories underneath the root categories. Or you could just enable the flyout menus.

Yes, the image slider is more fluid in browsers other than IE... IE9 should be an improvement.

It also depends on how many other features you have enabled on the homepage, we're not suggesting you enable all of them.

You can substitute the image slider for a flash one if you so wish.

Can someone please help! When using the smart template on my product list page in the category description it also list the name of the category at the beginning of the description. It looks like it is adding it as some sort of image and not text. I am trying to figure this out. When I turn off smart template and use x-cart 2 column template everything looks good. I have included a pic so you can see what the heck I am talking about. Thank you very much in advance for your help and time.

I am having a problem getting help from Phil for this smart template using Phil's support ticket system. Am I alone? I went ahead and sent Phil another support ticket explaining my issue that I recently posted here. Hopefully he will be so kind to help me with one of my issues.

One option listed during checkout at your site is 'Developers License', but the only explanation I see about this license is "The developers license entitles you to use the template across multiple stores."

Is there a per-store payment, or a limit to the number of stores? Do I need to be hosting all the stores? If so, do they need to be on the same server?

It seems that this option is for a single X-Cart series (4.4.x). True?

I'd like some assurance before I get this option. Can you elaborate?

I put in a support ticket also asking for Developers License details. Responding to either works for me. Thanks.

Everyone needs to back off, Phil is only human. A one man team infact. Alot of people are waiting replys? Yes, however everyone knows Phil's service is normally second to none. He had a holiday for christmas, alot of people have questions that need answers and he will respond when he can, answers take time, so obviously it's going to take some time.

Some longer than others, i'm also waiting for a reply on a few things, i even purchased an hour of his time but i'm yet to get it.

(Search engines, and other forums or members and just not being lazy can usually fix most of the problems)

Sparker2, that indicates a broken subcategory image. Try regenerating your image cache (although for me, the regeneration tool has never worked!). If I find a fix I will post here. (This could actually be a bug in v4.4.2).

Bullfrog, the developers license entitles you to use the template on as many stores as you wish - one time payment - no restrictions.

Everyone, I am steadily going through support tickets, so please bear with me. It helps if people stick to one ticket, rather than submitting multiples.

Ok Phil, thank you very much for your reply. Just letting us know you are working on our issues is all that we can ask for. Not hearing from you at all is the issue and that can be very frustrating when a person feels abandon after making a purchase. We really do appreciate your help. I am not using category images, only product images so I am not sure what is going on here in my case but I will wait for you while I try to resolve the issue by myself also. Thanks again!

sparker2, this should fix the subcategory image problem, upload the files to skin/smart_template/customer/main then run cleanup.php

Thank you Phil! That was one I was waiting for. Looks good so far. I also resolved my issue I was having with the subcategories images. Not sure what that was about. I just started over with a new database so it had to be something going on with my database.

Thanks Phil for smart_subcat_image_fix_v4.4.2.zip file. With this fix I can use my old database instead of starting over. I am not sure what the problem was with that because it worked fine with the new database.

Can someone please explain how the New Products mod that Phil gave for free to customers that use the Smart Templates work? I would like to know how to change when a product is considered new. I would like to set it up to display products added within the last 30 days only. And also, I noticed it does let you have multiple pages like the product pages or does it? So how will it work if I add let say 20 new products? Thank you for your help and replies in advance.

Hi All ...

I'm using the Smart Template 4.4.x for a client.
One of the things i've done is remove all the footer links from /skin/smart_template/custom/footer.tpl

But i'm now left with a large space at the bottom (see attachment)

Can you help on how I can remove/reduce this large area?

you fixed IE 8 image slider problem (i saw your demo page)
but Featured products button effect dont work good on IE8

please use IE8 and push the Featured products left/right button , effect dont work good. (when the push the left/right buttons effect dont work good)

and i want to say you , when i open your demo page with IE8 your template opening slowly (but i dont see this problem on Google Crome)

can you please check these problems..

New Products show second (Polish) language only in the New Products Dialog Title. New Products Titles are not translated. Any suggestion?

Once again, thanks for your extraordinary costumer support.
With Polish language label for new products, please correct me if there is something I am doing wrong. I did everything you said, and the code:
I entered in: Patch/Upgrade center > Apply SQL patch.SQI query.
The dialog (category name) translates perfectly, but the name of every single item inside that New Products category is not.
Could you correct me what I did wrong?

chamberinternet, look for and change the height in #st_footer_center { ... }
mpepel, make sure you have added international titles/descriptions etc. for your products (?)
ilter, IE8 will run sluggishly if you have all features enabled on the homepage. Chrome, FF etc. all run nicely.

New Products - skin/smart_template/custom/featured_new_products.tpl - Insert {$n_products[product].productcode}
Random Products - skin/smart_template/custom/featured_new_products.tpl - Insert {$r_products[product].productcode}

The new and random products functionality requires further customisation, in order to appear on category pages.

Thanks. Can I still input the stock xcart function for random in the page outside of the tabs? redundant I know..but it fills up space.
