Some paid Qualiteam modules were integrated by default into XC (X-Monitoring, X-CloudSearch, ...). This is not good, it is like forcing someone to eat something he doesn't want. Look here, if the job is not done well, bad things happening - to all of us.

This needs a fix or just remove it from XC.

That's the point that they are commercial, but have a free trial period so that a customer could try it (without performing additional steps for installation) and decide whether to use it or not.

It's supposed to be hassle free. If you don't want to use it - simply disable the extension.

On the other hand, I agree with you that it should be fixed and we are currently working on this issue intensively. As soon as the X-Monitoring add-on is disabled it should stop monitoring immediately.

Speaking of X-Monitoring in general, there were many occasions when our system helped our customers to solve problems which, otherwise, might have left unnoticed.

I did not contest in any way importance of your modules (X-Monitoring). But if you integrate them from now on inside XC they should be in a great shape. Receiving emails even the service is disable could become annoying, and all the frustration will be redirected to you.

Hello guys!

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I have just tested it using a test X-cart installation, by enabling and disabling the module. My tests show that the monitoring service is turned ON and OFF correspondingly, without problems.

Anyway, please do not hesitate to contact us via the Helpdesk area in case it does not work properly in your X-Cart store.

If you have disabled the X-Monitoring module in your X-Cart admin back-end, but still keep getting the notifications from the service, please let us know what specific domain / store URL is affected by the issue, so we can thoroughly investigate the issue for each particular case.

We have investigated the problem.

The X-Cart installation wizard provides a check-box which allows to turn ON the X-Monitoring module, this check-box is enabled by default. When X-Cart is being installed with the check-box enabled, X-Cart does not get the required API key from the X-Monitoring service for some reasons. That is why when you turn OFF the X-Monitoring module right after the X-Cart installation, the monitoring service is not disabled for the store.

However, there is a workaround solution - when you turn the module ON and OFF once again, the required API key is obtained and the monitoring service is disabled for the store properly. Feel free to use this workaround solution to disable the notifications from the X-Monitoring service.

Meantime, we will investigate the problem further, to find out the reason why the required API key is not obtained properly during the X-Cart installation, and fix the issue permanently.

In case you have already removed X-Cart from your web-site and can not disable the module, please email us at support@x-cart.com, we will disable the monitoring service for your web-site manually. In the nearest future, we will also improve the service, so customers will be able to disable the monitoring service for their web-site via a special secure link.

Please do not include this in the installation wizard. Same applies to the Lexity module. There is no need for them to be there and it is annoying. Modules can be turn on from admin if anyone wants to use them. Especially after the installation wizard doe s not mention anything that these services are trials and you need subscription fro them, etc...

The installation include the bare minimum required to install the store. Period. Everything else can be setup in admin

I believe it also automatically starts the 30-day free trial which becomes useless if the site is just being developed. Then the free trial can't be used when the site goes live.
