I went to install xpayments today and discovered my host only runs php 5.2.11. they said they don't support 5.3 at this time, but I'm free to run it as a CGI-Binary. They said I would need to compile PHP 5.3 in my home directory with whatever modules I need and the following to my .htaccess file:

Action php5-cgi /cgi-bin/php5-cgi
AddHandler php5-cgi .php


My question is how in the world do I "compile" it and what are modules? Can anyone here or QT send me a compiled version 5.3?

My host will compile it for me, but they charge $50 and they said they need the exact software requirements so they know what modules to include.

If no-one can send me a compiled version, could someone direct me to where I can find the exact software requirements?

X-Payments should appear there within next few weeks AFAIK. Our QSA approved X-Payments as PA-DSS compliant and sent their docs to the PCI council several weeks ago.
The QSA said it may take up to 6 weeks for an approved software to appear on the list after docs are sent to the PCI council.
