Re: X-Cart 4.1.6 released

So instead of fighting with an upgrade, I started fresh on my test server with 4.1.6 and added back templates and graphics. Everything went fine. Next I added back some programming changes. Everything seemed fine.

Then I logged out and couldn't log back in. I have several admin accounts and none can log in. All customer accounts can log in fine, though.

I tried putting the php files I'd changed back, but it didn't help. I didn't change any .tpl file in the admin section that should have made any difference.

Is this a bug? Did I inadvertantly break something? Anyone have this happen before or have any idea of where to continue searching to fix it?

Thanks.

If you did a database restore, it probably encrypted your password - you need to edit it via phpMyAdmin in the xcart_customers table.

Yes, I considered that. The password is fine. As I mentioned, it only does it for admin login accounts, not regular accounts. Any encrypting error would affect all passwords.

Try to install 4.1.6 without your modifications and check if login works. If this does not help, create a ticket in the HelpDesk. If, however, login works, then the problem with login is probably caused by your customization and you need to check it.

I have a code change that allows all lower case letters in the Image Verification. I'm happy to give it away if anyone wants it. it's probably best to PM me with your e-mail address.

On a side note, I didn't get any Admin Login Errors.

Yes, that was a bug. Please, read this thread for fix: http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=28457

Where are Shipping Markups located in this version?

Thanks,

Apparently Shipping Markups didn't make it to this version yet. I am going to 4.0.19. Hosting company installed X-Cart for me and I was not aware that 4.1 branch is beta stuff.

Shipping Markups is in 4.1. Have you enabled Shipping?

Yes, where is it? That is if by "have you enabled shipping" you mean unchecked DISABLE SHIPPING.
