Re: Clever Filters from Cart on Steroids.com

An earlier message on the forum from you mentioned the slider for the price wasn't a standard part of the software.

Please let me know when CDSEO Pro is supported and I will take a closer look at it. Are there any other popular mods you know of that may affect the ability for it to work?

The slider is included in the regular version of the module. If you want to edit the way the slider looks, you have to do that yourself - the customization of the slider is not included. I hope this is more clear :)

I'll let you know when CDSEO Pro is supported - as I have mentioned, probably in about one week.

We haven't encountered any problems with any other popular mods so far.

Do each of the filters have to be created or can they be pulled from the product options and variants? We have thousands of products with 5-6 sizes each. Manually updating all of them would take a lot of time unless we can find a mod that pulls the information from the previously created product options.

No problem - you can import the filters through a CSV file.

Sorry, I guess you didnt understand my question. The problem is, we dont have the available sizes listed in the extra fields. We only have it listed under product options. Would we manually have to add every product option to each an every extra field for this mod to work?

Can this filter be placed on the home screen? I purchased the BSCE Advanced Filter because I needed more in depth filtering for products. It seems to do the job but there is no home page option to display it from the start and they don't seem to cooperative to get it to work that way. In my situation I have a car audio and accessories store. It would be nice to start filtering from the start so you can jump off from your make, model and year of the vehicle first. The way the BCSE filter works is it starts to filter from when you go into a certain category.

My first original site was a version 4.0.19 and I used Cart-Labs Make, Model, Year mod that did place the filter right at the top of the home screen in the header but it didn't provide any advanced filtering thus you had to create multiple products to be displayed in the right filters. I'm just looking for a filter that has a home screen feature and then filters from there. I hope I made sense there. I've already got over a $100 invested in a filter that doesn't do what I need it to do.

Jonathan - If you are able to export those product options in a CSV file, you should then be able to manipulate that file in Excel so you can import the filters.

KCAutosound - Yes, we can make the filters display on the front page. The front page will display all the available filters, while the categories will display only the filters available for products in that particular category.

Is this something that can only be done if you install it or will you provide me the info to do it myself. I am currently using the new Ability theme from xcartmods

This is a tweak that we can do for free even if you install it yourself.

Please note that the integration in the design is not included though - but if you know CSS you should be able to do that yourself too.

Re: Clever Filters from Cart on Steroids.com

I have just installed on 4.5.1 but the config is non existent. Do I have to manually move it to the left nav as it only appears at the top of the category not in the left nav like all the examples.

Also the filters do not work. When I click on one of the filters I get a 404 error page. The url is going from http://domain.com/category/ to http://domain.com/category/filter/
