Wemaster Mode Buttons Not Formed Correctly
 

Hi All,

I started working with 4.1.0 rc4 and recently upgraded to 4.1.0 and then 4.1.2 (unfortunately, without really checking what went on in between).

Now, in Webmaster mode all the buttons are elongated and contain the html code for the function instead of the button title. Except for the "standard" buttons like "Copy", "Browse" etc which are OK.

Does anyone have an idea how to cure this, please?

Another bug still present in the 4.1.2 release........When the customer chooses PayPal as the payment, "shipping cost" does not get transferred over to the PayPal payment screen.

It does not show the shipping cost separately. This needs to be fixed so everything would be itemized separately, just like it is at the xcart checkout screen.

What version should I choose?
 

I'm about to set up a new shop here in July, and wonders if it is wise to set up x-cart 4.1.2? X-cart promote the new version on their homepage, but it is still in the "current branch" category and not the "stable branch", so I'm a little confused! Any suggestions?

wait untill it becomes more stable unless you know what your doing and dont mind dealing with bugs and upgrades for the next few months

Yes, I agree it's a little confusing. Lots of bugs have been worked out in the first two updates. I'm still seeing problems with upgrading a <4.1 store to 4.1 so that is a little tricky, but a new install of 4.1.2 works very well. The only problem I'm having now is that some third-party mod developers are not yet providing their mods for for 4.1. However, BCSE is doing an excellent job.

svowl, the firefox WYSIWYG editor JS link is still not corrected (although the changelog suggested that it was).

WYSIWYG editor with 4.1.2 minor problem in firefox 1.5.0.4
 

Just did an upgrade [unix] from x-cart 4.1.1 to stop the blinking hourglass in Firefox. This was successful, (thank you) but now my admin tool will not show a cursor or allow typing into the WYSIWYG editor when there is an empty field.

If I switch to default editor and type in a character and switch toWYSIWYG editor, it then allows me to type in the textarea.

I also tried tabbing into the field from outside the WYSIWYG editor into the text box, no luck.

BTW, it works in explorer, but my client will be using firefox.

Well this is'nt good the file isnt available for download as a patch or upgrade. its not in the 4.1.1 folder, can anyone tell me where it is?

It should be there, its not in the file area, you have to go to my licenses. Use these instructions that were posted at the beginning of this topic.

To access the upgrade patch, log into the Help Desk, go to the 'My Licenses' section, find the license of the X-Cart that you wish to upgrade and click on the 'Get upgrade pack' link.
