Yes, we do consider this but I can't tell any more detals because we have no exact plans on how to organize co-branded resale of the product right now. I think we will have more details when we will be closer to the release date.

It's worthwhile allowing full white lable resale, it's an absolutley huge benifit in this market, I assume you'll have licensing in place anyway which would allow you to control it which would allow you to. Co-branded isn't really that useful, zero branded i.e works as a blank canvas works better when offering items to clients as a service and encourages developers to push products more.

It results in a seriously higher level of sales for you, and really goes a long way to encouraging a huge community of pro-active resellers instead of simple retro-active affiliates which are only a fraction as effective and more work when it comes to payouts.

Speaking for ourselves, straight off the mark we'd be pushing it to all of our clients and every new client we have if it's set up properly for whitelabel or private label resale.

Well worth considering if you ask the hundreds/thousands of developers on this forum. :)

I agree, this would be something nice to be able to do.

On the video conferencing subject: It would be great for the adult industry.
Can you imagine? Having a naked chick on live support selling porn DVDs?
lol

We do have plans for white-label agreements, I just don't know the details by now.

Yep, this was the very first thing I thought of after cotc2001's comment :)
The only problem is that as long as live support is free, no-one would buy the DVDs ;)

XXX-Chat and stats?

Actually video would be very useful we already have requirements for that in the consultancy industry, also product demostrations and so forth are much easier with video chat.

php live works excellent but it chews server resources, slows the server down considerbly and most of all it seriously bothered customers, so we un-installed it.

Hehehe already did, i was testing out hooking my webcamXP which runs a live streaming video server on my pc locally but places the video directly onto x-cart pages, so today is the test of hooking it into my live help system, so not only do you get the chat window for text but you also get the live video so I can show customers the underwear.

I do need to get a better camera though as the logitechs that i've got just don't cut the mustard at the moment.

cotc2001 03-15-2005 01:36 AM

example of live webstream intergrated into an x-cart page can be seen at
http://www.justhom.com/pages.php?pageid=10 (only available from 10.00 - 17.00 GMT

I need to do some tidying up on it but the idea is there.

The app runs locally so no extra strain is put on your webserver
