That looks like the problem I had and I found the instructions were wrong as to where to upload some of the files. Make sure you uploaded the files to where they are located in the zip file and not where the instructions say to place them.

I ran into the same problem when I installed it aswell, not sure if this will help you since your x-cart version is different and you may have a different dynamic image module version.

Here goes, the below code is missing in your html source code right above the "<div id="photos">"

The "..." depends on which popup option you're using. I believe you're using Thumbnailviewer as your popup. (Check your module configuration). Which the thumbnailviewer.js file located in popups/thumbnailviewer is maybe corrupted??. What I did to solve the problem is copied his thumbnailvewier.js on Telma Firma site or can be locate on this site: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail.htm.

Attach is the thumnailvewier.js we're using, which we've copied directly from Telma Firma's site and replace the one located in popups/thumbnailveiwer.

Hi Guys,

Thanks very much for the input great to get help so quickly. Files looks to be uploaded into the right place and ive swopped out that thumbnailviewer.js. My version is a bit older as it only has one popup option but in product_image.tpl there isnt that extra code you mention. Looks like ill have to uninstall and look elsewhere for a similar mod. Real shame that Stephen's support is so poor.

If you decide to keep the mod, you might be able to add the following code that you're missing in 1 of those files. (not sure which one since your version is different). Version 4.1.x is loated in skin1/modules/Dynamic_Images/thumbnail_viewer.tpl.

I've looked at Telma Firma's website http://www.telafirma.com/store/product.php?productid=16138 html source code for version 4.0.x and the code that you're missing is below.



Check the path and see if it's correct.

I've tried looking for a mod similar to Telma Firma's but there isn't any great one that stands out. If you do find one, please share.

Superb thanks ive actually hard coded that into product_image.tpl and now it works!! Not sure how it wasnt there in the first place but thanks everyone. One quick problem that is still left is that the description on the popup breaks over a few lines - dont suppose anyone can spot a quick fix?

I would not recommend purchasing anything from this store - I made my purchase of the dynamic image generator in August - repeated emails -request for my files - the vendor has not replied at all very poor service

I too purchasd that mod and bought it on Oct 4, my purchase was finally "processed" by them on the 22nd and after an email still have not heard anything and have not received a response... opened a dispute at paypal.

Is there some expectation that if his company goes away that we can reverse engineer and make this a mod as it uses mostly opensource elements? Seems like there can be a solution to this thread.

Any updates on this? We need this type of functionality on our site, but I don't want to order from them until I know they're back in business.

But assuming he's mia indefinitely, are there any other ones that are even sort-of as good as his? A rudimentary one for us is better than one that we can't order.

You wont' get any support with that mod either, as the vendor has disappeared. It is the same basic concept though.

I'm downloading that one now, but it looks more like an image resizer, which is different than Tela Firma. I'll try it though, just to be sure. Thanks for the link.

I'll ask again just to be a pain: is there ANY other add-on out there that can do this? Or anything similar to this? All suggestions welcome.

we ended up filing a claim with paypal and there was never a response so the money was refunded to us - but "someone" had processed our order like 2 weeks later but we never go the product and when paypal opened the dispute there was never any response or contact from their end.

The Telafirma mod has options for popus using Lightbox, Shadowbox or Thumbnail Viewer. I don't see that in your demo. Any thoughts of adding that?

In 2007 Stephen dissapeared for a while. He came back later, same year. In 2008 he dissapeared a long period. This time without a return, he never came back. I December I got a few private emails from him. I was interested to buy mods from him.

I sent him again a few days ago private messages, but no replies. I don't know what to say. My conclusion: FELLOWS PLEASE MAKE SIMILARLY MODS TO TELAFIRMA. This is the only solution.

I looked at your mod Craig and it does look nice...how would it work to replace telafirmas mod with yours? I also agree that it will need to incorporate the shadowbox or similiar feature. I like that you can choose to put the detailed images below or on the side.

I got X-Cart to replace Telafirma's code with their own one based on C Erdmanns plugin however I forgot to get them to reproduce the script responsible for the detailed images popup - thumb_popup.php.

I'm trying to change URL of my cart which is now causing license errors with the popup that I can't rectify because of Telafirma's unavailability. Has anyone managed to get their own version of this file working?
