maybe, maybe not. if it tries to update files that you have changed then you will be prompted and given a choice to update those by hand or leave them out. make a backup of your files and have a read up on upgrading if your unsure what your doing |
domspe,
Off subject, but how did you get x-cart to handle items in 20 categories? ATKOgirl |
#1 (on subject) - i do not have upgrade files in my file area - only the full distributive. is this an error on their part or is this the only want to upgrade? anyone got a 3.5.4 -> 3.5.5 upgrade kit in their file area?

I am currently running 3.4.12-gold_upgrade and I do not see an upgrade kit to 3.5 in the file area, just the full distribution, what am I doing wrong ?

I upgraded to 3.5.5 from 3.5.4, and now the DB restore from backup doesn't finish loading the page when doing a restore. Apparently it is timing out nearly 3/4 of the way through because Mozilla is giving me a "Document contains no data" error when the progress reaches the stats part of the DB restore. All of a sudden, it just stops showing progress, and I am concerned that it is not completing the restoration of the DB dump.
Anyone else experiencing this? I am using Mozilla 1.7, so I don't know what error might come up with IE. |

How big is your database ? |
Approximately 5mb. Images are all stored in the file system.

On the plus side, my long standing bug with X-cart failing to find Perl has been fixed with this release. \:D/
This will make my life much easier for upgrades now that I am not having to take down the live server just so that I can run half auto half manual updates on the linux live server. Thanks to the X-cart team and keep up the good work! :D |
has anyone here upgraded from 3.4.12 (or .13) to 3.5.5 ? If so, how did you do it? thanks

Managed to patch ok, had to manually change a few files. Then tried to load site up, and all i got was a blank page.
in config.php i had to disable the loading up of prepare.php as this was causing it. Anyone has had the same problem ? I looked in the prepare.php file and its used to check php versions and stuff like that. |
