Please describe your issue more detailed. Where did you get the error, on X-Cart side or in FB-application?

It is better to post the support ticket in HelpDesk. Our engineers will investigate the issue and help you with the sorting out.

Facebook guys have changed API and as a result it broke the part of code which makes the matching pages with URLs. Our engineers are working on fixing this issue at the moment.

All the already assigned URLs work well. The problem only with new assignation. We will inform about the result of the correction as soon as we fix it. I am sorry again.

I have issues with facebook tab the like button is not showing in products.
I opened a ticket in helpdesk but it has not been address because I don have points.

It is a common misconception that you have to pay to get a bug fixed. Well, I understand that it is a great way to force the team to make something: "They charge to get the bugs fixed! Burn the witch!", however the facts are different.

If a trouble turns out to be a bug, no points will be deducted and a bug fixing patch will be provided for free.

In your particular case QT's support team doesn't ask you to pay to investigate a problem and provide a patch. Not at all.
Your support balance is negative, that's the reason. It means that the support team made some work for you and this work isn't paid yet. Until it is paid, no new work will be done.

So, you aren't asked to pay for a bug fixing patch. You're asked to pay for the previous tasks. And I believe that it is more than fair not to do new tasks till the old ones are paid.


As for "buggy software", it is always important to remember that the "FB tab" module actually consists of three different parts: (1) your X-Cart store, (2) the module which sends the products to FB, (3) Facebook which displays these products. So if even one part doesn't work properly, the whole system will not too. It actually means that even if the FB module works properly, but Facebook releases some new untested feature (they love to do this), your FB store may become unstable.

Seems like facebook is fixed! Yah!

Two other issues for some reason the photos don't load when the tab is first loaded. But when I move to another category they are fine., Also the FB like button doesn't work and I get an ERROR.

Thanks for yours response, I see what you mean but I would love you to go thrue every ticket that that I was charge points for, and you to tell me if you delivered a solutions to my requests that charged my points for. Is that is why I have to turned to a other company to help with my issues wish in most cases where bugs.

Yea, I see. The issue with images connects with Facebook caching and again occurs by facebook changes. When FB-application starts the URL for the image generates via Facebook proxy like that:
http://platform.ak.fbcdn.net/www/app_full_proxy.php?app=136267806421194&v=1&size=o& cksum=bdc166de5f6e1a4...%252 0tee.jpg

but after category changes the scripts generates the absolute URL and all is ok:
http://www.buystayfast.com/images/T/skull%20tee.jpg

I've posted the ticket to our BT system. We will inspect this issue more detailed.


About the like button. Did you enter the valid USER ID? Like button works well on this page:

Please, open the http://apps.facebook.com/xcart_shop/ application and use "How I can get my Profile ID?" link to make sure that you enter the valid profile ID

Thanks for looking into the image issue...

It also appears the like buttons are gone now totally from my app??
