You only need to restore the .tpl files in your skin1 (NOT skin1 original) folder.

Your tpl files were all that was affected. Your DB should not have been disturbed.

Just ftp your backup of the skin1 directory and overwrite the files already on your server.

You might want to back up your current files, just for reference so you can bring your restored templates up-to-date as far as layout and modifications.

to restore the templates then you just need to run install.php again and choose the option there.

OK, we did what adpboss and shan instructed but it only partially worked.
I can see the Smarty tags have been put back but I still cannot edit the language labels. The one I have been benchmarking against is under Languages>Labels>Customers' rating. It's on Page 4. I have been trying to edit to My Rating or Customer Rating and it won't take. I can add new labels but it won't delete old ones or let me edit.

Mr. / ?Ms. "adpboss"- if I PM you with my ftp settings could you take a look at it please? I don't know what the heck I'm doing and I don't want to screw it up anymore than I already have.
