If the "news module" is "News Management" YES it is on.

OK, do you have any news to display? Was the news box displaying before you did any mods? IS it a highly modified template? can you try going back to when it was all working and adding things slowly?

No I don't have any news to display. Yes the News box was displaying immediately prior to adding the two boxes, guarantee and security. I have not modified the news.tpl. Is there another template you are thinking about?

I thought of going back to when it was working, but I can't get back to where it displays. I've removed several items with no luck. Obviously, I've modified something and did not record it in my modifications journal. I can't think of anything else.

can you go back to the original home.tpl and make your mods one at a time,
