I have version 4.5 and there is a module to generate a sitemap built in - there are settings to configure it which i've done (in the modules section).

But, how do I generate the site map? and where do I do it?

There is nothing in the manual about how to do it...

Are you talking about the site sitemap or the xml sitemap? The xml one can be generated from its settings page - GO button; the site sitemap does not need to be generated - it is just a link in the speed bar

I'm looking for a feed that is acceptable for webmasters.

I believe it needs to be xml

I tried to submit the link /sitemap.php?type=xml which seemed to look ok, but webmasters wouldn't accept it - says it seems like html?

I've generated a xml sitemap with http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ - which I submitted successfully.

I'd prefer to have xcart generate it's own xml sitemap - but I can't find where to do it...

If so, how do I use that? What about the Extra URL's, Add New & Cache generation...Do I need to do something with that?
