When designerweb wrote "Is it possible to Add links to an individual product page?", the way I understand it (given the examples he provided) he meant adding a link on a product page to some other page, not adding a link that points at a product page

Ah yes you're right xsurf. Sorry I misunderstood the question at the beginning. I thought it was a product page rather than an informational page. Then extra fields would be a good way to go then; so when they're not needed they can easily be removed.

Although problems would still arise if there was ever an update needed.

Who cares if the product is disabled? The code only executes if the product exists and is found via the site.


I just need the code to execute if the page loads and the product is obviosly displays.

Let me clarify more using a different example:

What I want to do is when someone is at my chair page, I would like to show them affiliate links to similar items on ebay/amazon, etc.

But I need to know what to pass to the ebay/amazon code to do that.
How can I pass to that code what the procuct is?
On the product display page, is there a $Variable that I can user to represent the product name?
