I just purchased Phil Jones' mod for a horizontal drop-down menu (see the link to his mods above). Then I plan to use Carpeperdiem's suggestion (also see above) about adding subcategories with just one product each.

Phil agreed that this is a good solution. He also has a mod for a vertical menu on his site.....seems like that'll work for you, along with Carpeperdiem's idea.

I am happy to report that my horizontal menu works! The main menu items are categories, and the drop-down menu items are products (actually sub-categories with one product each).

A big thanks to Phil for his mod and to Carpeperdiem for passing along Moneysaver67's suggestion (please see notes above).

You can see how the menu works at www.aztecmarineinnovations.com/draft/home.php . Only the first two items have drop-downs right now. Please keep in mind that this store is still in draft...and that this is my first X-Cart store.....
