Thank you for your replies. I was not able to move the logo thru skin1.css file. I was able to move it within skin1/customer.head.tpl
I forgot to mention, I have neon lights template. Maybe this was the reason I could not do anything with the logo in skin1.css?

Yes, that is a rather key piece of info you neglected to mention :( The head.tpl is probably completely different for that template.
