The big 'But' for AMP is that it's aimed at Static Content Pages, hence limited usage on XC5 stores with minimal Static Pages. In some ways, it's almost the same discussion as the Google Fonts thread: https://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=75318 i.e. You must follow our rules OR we'll cry foul - by Go Ogle :D/

In all related threads, we've made it clear that following Google's Self-Made rules like lemmings is NOT for us. However, the active thought process behind Mobile First Design is present now, not just in AMP, so that should hopefully be a big factor for any future XC5 upgrades because to be fair, this criteria isn't top of the pile - yet.

That same thought process applies (ironically) when viewing the results of any current release XC5 Google page speed tests and can also relate back to both the fonts and other related threads too. At some point Mobile First Design will supersede Desktop First Design in terms of XC5 'design pecking order' and when it does, it could easily be totally AMP exclusive

If you want Google to own your content, go ahead...

Missed the subtle sarcasm there possibly?

i.e. totally excluding AMP aka a XC5 Mobile First Design format but one which is completely free of AMP and all it's "self-made rules"

I never miss your sarcasm, Triple A :-) I get it. Some others won't.

But AMP should die.
