All of this works ok, but the mechanics of the actual billing/charging needs to be changed.

I use PAYPAL Payflow Pro and what PAYPAL calls "reference payments" to bill subscriptions after the original charge. Reference Payments is similar to what I think AMY is doing with WORLDPAY...

Subscriptions module was removed from v4.4 due to PCI-DSS requirements. You should use your payment gateway recurring billing instead. That's how it must be handled since July the 1st. The module wasn't compliant with the PA-DSS as it was created by us many years ago.
